# Account and workspace

> Understand organizations, workspaces, members, roles, and billing in Vocily.

Vocily separates account-level administration from day-to-day agent work.

Your **organization** is the account boundary for members, plans, billing, and workspace
ownership. A **workspace** is where agents, numbers, knowledge bases, conversations,
integrations, contacts, and campaigns live.

## Organization vs workspace

<CardGroup cols={2}>
  <Card title="Organization" icon="building">
    The organization owns billing, members, plan limits, and workspace creation.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Workspace" icon="layout-dashboard">
    A workspace contains the operational objects your team works with: agents,
    numbers, conversations, knowledge, integrations, and channel setup.
  </Card>
</CardGroup>

One organization can have multiple workspaces when its plan allows it. The workspace
switcher shows only the workspaces you can access.

## Settings

Use **Settings** to manage your account in three tabs:

* **Workspace** — create, rename, and delete workspaces. Each workspace is an isolated
  home for agents, numbers, and data.
* **Organization** — Owners can update the organization name and the legal identity,
  billing address, and finance contact used for checkout, invoices, and AutoPay.
* **Members** — invite teammates, assign roles, and choose which workspaces they can access.

### Workspace settings

Owners and Admins can use the Workspace tab to create a workspace, rename it, or delete
it. The organization must always keep at least one workspace, so the last workspace
cannot be deleted. Each workspace is an isolated home for its agents, numbers, and data.

### Organization settings

The Organization tab contains the organization name and the billing profile used for
checkout. Owners can edit the organization details form, which can include:

* Customer type and full name.
* Optional PAN card number.
* Registered or billing address, city, state, country, and pincode.
* Billing contact number and billing email.

Save the organization details before setting up AutoPay or completing a checkout. The
page exposes separate readiness states for checkout and AutoPay. After a captured
payment, invoice, AutoPay mandate, or in-flight AutoPay attempt exists, the billing
country is locked and changing it requires support.

### Members settings

Owners and Admins can use the Members tab to view active or suspended members and
pending invites. They can invite a teammate by email, choose a role, and select the
workspaces the person can access. Member and Viewer invites require at least one
workspace; Admins are organization-wide. Invites expire after seven days.

Use **Billing** for wallet balance, plan, auto-recharge, transactions, payments, invoices,
and credit notes.

## Billing belongs to the organization

Billing is organization-wide. Usage from workspaces rolls up into the same organization
wallet, while transaction and usage views can show workspace-level breakdowns.

See [Billing](/account-workspace/billing) for wallet balance, usage spend, plan limits,
AutoPay, transactions, payments, invoices, and credit notes.
