# Plans

> Compare plans, understand limits, and change your Vocily plan.

Plans set organization limits such as concurrency, members, workspaces, and
recording retention.

## Current plan

The Plan section shows:

* Current plan name and monthly price.
* Renewal date when the plan is paid.
* Recording retention.
* Billing mode.
* Peak calls, member usage, and workspace usage.

If a payment does not go through, the Plan section can show a past-due or paused state
with the next action.

## Plan limits

Business can add capacity packs for extra concurrency at **\$8 per line/month**, up to a
self-serve concurrency total of 50. Capacity packs are not available on Free or Starter.
Enterprise is custom and can include larger limits, SSO/SAML, priority support, a custom
MSA, and a dedicated customer success manager.

## Change plans

Owners can change plans from **Billing → Plan**.

Upgrades can take effect immediately when the wallet has enough credits. If the wallet
does not have enough balance, add credits first and retry the change.

Downgrades can be scheduled for the end of the current billing period when the new plan
has lower limits. Downgrades and pack removals do not refund the unused part of the
current period.

## Prorated upgrades

When you upgrade during an active billing period, Vocily charges only the prorated
difference between the current and new monthly plan fees, including any capacity-pack
difference. It does not charge the full new monthly fee at the moment of upgrade. The
wallet is debited immediately and the new plan limits take effect immediately.

Vocily calculates the charge from the time remaining in your current billing cycle. The
example below uses a 30-day cycle for simplicity; a real cycle can be a calendar month,
including a shorter February cycle.

For example, assuming a 30-day cycle, if you are on **Starter** at **USD 39/month** and
upgrade to **Business** at **USD 99/month** after 15 days:

* The monthly price difference is **USD 99 - USD 39 = USD 60**.
* Half of the cycle remains, so the prorated upgrade charge is **USD 60 × 15/30 = USD 30**.

The upgrade does not reset or extend the billing cycle. Your billing date stays the same
as the date on which the current plan began. Future renewals use the new plan price on
that same billing date, so the next renewal charges the full Business monthly price. A
first paid plan after Free has no active paid cycle, so it is charged as a full first
month rather than as a mid-cycle upgrade.

## Plan-fit checks

Before switching to a lower plan, make sure the organization fits within the target
limits.

You may need to:

* Reduce workspaces.
* Remove members.
* Change build-capable users to Viewer.
* Remove capacity packs.

Plan changes are blocked when the organization does not fit the target plan.

## Capacity packs

Capacity packs are available on plans that allow extra concurrency. Use them when you
need more simultaneous voice capacity without changing the base plan.

The Plan section previews the new caps and any wallet charge before you confirm.
